The Foundation of Belonging Part One
This PlayShop takes us in the direction of understanding how we live in relationship with each other and those we interact with in a deeper way in our programs. How our responsiveness affects children and those we engage with daily and in each present moment.
How do we see the uniqueness of each child and value their ideas and opinions during the daily rush of routines? How do we help children stay connected relationally as they transition from program to school and to home and back again…
If we know our intentions are to provide a collaborative space where children initiate, what strategies help us do this effectively? And to end, we will think about meaningful participation for all and what barriers we might have to this idea in our settings.
